In Portugal, Sociedade Ponto Verde (SPV) is a private not-for-profit body with crucial mission for sustainable future, through the promotion of the selective colelection take-back and recycling of packaging waste.

Since I was working in a project, where my advisor, prof- Teresa Carvalho (IST University of Lisbon) developed an equipment to recover the glass contained in the heavy residue fraciton from MBT plants, the SPV was invited to a meeting where I could show the results of our studied made with sample from one MBT plant form Portugal, and in theis meeting they, the scientific body of the SPV, got very interested and Funded a small project, at the begning, to develop the same study but with another specific MBT plant. After that, we wrote a big project to work with all the MBT plant from Portugal, and our project were selected by SPV to be funded by then.

This funding was crucial to develop our project and my studies during my master and PhD.
